The product itself is great no complaints. Take it on a daily basis and you know baby is getting a helping hand at getting a good start in life.
I would however say don't buy it from Amazon as like a previous review I also experienced the problem with packaging. The box arrived crushed and the the foil that keeps the tablets and capsules in place ends up being broken and you end up with some of them arriving loose in the packaging. You are lucky if the capsules haven't leaked every where.

I started taking this product (after finishing another brand) in my first trimester. Almost immediately from taking the first one the morning sickness started, or all day nausea/vomiting. This got so bad I was unable to do anything but get up, go to work, spend all day in the toilet and go home to bed. I thought I was just one of the many unlucky ones who suffered badly with sickness during pregnancy....until a friend of mine told me she ended up on a drip in A&E after taking these vitamins. Apparently if your levels of iron are already high, taking a supplement with more iron in will cause severe nausea!! No doctor had told me this!! After 2 days off the tablets I was feeling more human and could actually function. The nausea still came and went but only when I needed a snack and wasn't debilitating. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE check your iron levels with your dr before taking any supplements with iron in. This could save you alot of agony!!

My wife vomited so regularly with this, she stopped taking the vitamin supplements and then was fine. Rather than buying this and wasting money on the unused half (vitamins) she took this instead. Eye Q Mumomega Pregnancy

I started strength training recently for the first time and discovered I just wasn't getting enough protein from my diet. I decided to give my protein intake a boost and bought this simply because Maximuscle had a female-friendly website that gave me lots of info.
One portion of this (one scoop mixed in with 200ml of water) provides 120 calories, 24g of protein, 2g of carbs and 2g of fat. Taste is important for me and the Cookies and Cream flavour I just can't flaw. It's sweet but not sickly, creamy in taste but not heavy. You can mix with milk but I've not tried it like that as it tastes fine just with water. Apparently you can even mix the powder in with things like yogurt and cereal which I'm going to try aswell.

this is a good quality product and i have experienced some solid gains while using it (this being my third tub).
Effectiveness: I have been taking one scoop in the morning with milk and one straight after weights training with water, over the course of five weeks i have improved my maximum number of reps from 6 to 10, using the same weight and rarely feel soreness/stiffness the day after working out- probably due to the glutamine.
Taste & Mixability: the taste is fine, slightly metallic when with water and there are few lumps if any- it is not an unpleasant experience when drinking the shakes.
Despite the good quality of this product it is quite substantially over priced, with competitors such as reflex instant whey and PhD pharma whey being of similar quality and around 50% cheaper. I therefore cannot give this product any more than 3-4 stars.

Many people who participate in training do not get enough protein in their diet so do not reap the benefits from their training. It is a common myth that Protein supplements are only intended for body builders, however anyone participating in regular training can benefit from Maximuscle Promax.
I would recommend taking one scoop before training and one scoop after training. The powder mixes well with water or milk and the majority of the flavours are very tasty. Having tried all of the flavours, I would recommend Strawberry, Cookies & Cream or Chocolate.
After having taken Promax for approximately 3 months I have noticed an increase in my strength and my physical size after regularly playing rugby and participating in weight training.
