But as the hairline recedes, I`m getting a bit more edgy about it, and thought I should do something. I`ve been using Alpecin since the beginning of August, so six weeks now and feel I can make a qualified judgement.Has my hair loss stopped? Well, maybe a little. I think there are days when very little hair is lost when I towel dry, and others when it`s much the same as it was. Is my hair visibly different? Again, there seems to be a slightly fuller look - nothing life-changing, but on some days I can feel more positive about it. Does my hair feel different? It isn`t drier, there is no scalp change, and it`s very easy to manage (even though it could do with a cut). Actually, it feels nicely silky after drying. I only have minimal thinning (male in my late teens) that is not yet noticeable but I feel that I definitely did not benefit from the product at all - in fact I lost more hair than I would have because it dried out my scalp so much - far from an anti-dandruff shampoo.I admit that some people may have had results from using this but it definitely did not work for me. If you want to stop your hair loss and may be get some re-growth I would use products that contain finasteride (sold as propecia), mnioxidil (sold as regaine and other generic brands) or ketoconazole (in shampoos like nizoral, revita and regenepure). These products are the only ones that have been proven to consistently fight hair loss in the majority of cases - things like Alpecin will only work in selected cases (when androgenic alopecia is not the cause of hair loss).
